Planter make over
Stepps Community Development Trust has reached agreement with North Lanarkshire Council to maintain the large planters situated along Cumbernauld Road. Council cuts have meant the planters have not been cared for in recent years and Stepps CDT aim to make these an attractive addition at our local shops once more.

Stepps CDT with the support of local garden firm Dear Green Space plan to refresh the planting so they look good all year round. Plans are in place to undertake the work on Sunday 23 October. Join us anytime from 9am with an aim of completing the makeovers for the 7 planters by 11am. All volunteers welcome. Meet at the war memorial Bluebell Park on Cumbernauld Road. If you have gloves, please bring these with you. It would be great, but not essential, if you want to come along and help to let Ailsa know at steppscdt@gmail.com.
This activity complements the litter picking in Springtime as part of our initiative to be recognised by Keep Scotland Beautiful's 'It's your neighbourhood.' It is anticipated that caring for the planters once each spring and autumn will keep them looking good.
