An energetic group of volunteers litter picked the area surrounding Stepps train station on Sunday morning as part of Keep Scotland Beautiful's Spring Clean 2023. A substantial amount of rubbish was cleared- you can see the improvement to the wooded verge in the photos below. However there is still another opportunity to help make a big impact by clearing the remaining areas.
Volunteers will be meeting again on Friday 31 March 2023 at 6:15-7:45pm at Stepps train station car park opposite colliery cafe to continue to clear the verges surrounding the station and then again on Sunday 2 April 9:15-10:45am at Stepps primary school pitches to clear the woodland area. Gloves and equipment are provided.
